Osun Osogbo festival is the most famous and glamorous in Osogbo land. The 600 years old festival has contributed immensely to the classification of Osun Sacred Grove as a global cultural heritage site by UNESCO. The Osun Sacred Grove is the largest in Yoruba land and has an outstanding universal value.

The Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria have a very rich culture of festivals and rituals which represent one of the major ways through which important aspects of their cultures and history are preserved and transmitted.
